We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we target

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a commitment we build and test against, not a certification.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML landmarks, one H1 per page and a logical heading order.
• A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, and a skip-to-content link.
• Descriptive alternative text on every content image.
• Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background throughout.
• Touch targets of at least 48px on the mobile action bar and all primary buttons.
• Full respect for prefers-reduced-motion: every non-essential animation is disabled.
• The FAQ accordion is built on native details/summary, so it works without JavaScript.
• The whole menu, including prices, is present in the HTML and readable with JavaScript disabled.
• Arabic is served as a genuinely right-to-left document with an Arabic typeface, not a mirrored Latin one.

Known limitations

• The embedded Google map is a third-party component and we cannot guarantee its accessibility. It only loads if you choose to load it, and the full address, phone number and written directions are available as text without it.
• Long-form stories are currently published in English only.
